Eagle hunting which has a very old history is an art and still we can see people in Mongolia who has got used to eagle hunting. The owner of the eagle gives the needed traning to the eagle. This hunting method is passed from generation, from father to son. Photographer from Germany, Leo Thomas, has got the opportunity to have a look at the lives of the hunters and get some stunning pictures of them when he went to the Alta region in western Mongolia.

There is only a few eagle hunters left, only 300 and males are the most.Leo had met Zamanbol, one of the 10 female hunters that are left.She studies in a school in the city and trains her bird along with her brother Carzabi during the weekends. Then come from the Kazakh nomad family.
