Nick Stoeberl, the proud holder of the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest tongue, has found an unusual and undeniably impressive way to put his record-breaking talent to work: painting.
According to Guinness, Nick’s tongue stretches an astonishing 10.1 cm (3.97 inches), earning him the title of longest tongue for a male. But instead of just wowing people at parties (or awkwardly licking his elbow, yes, really), Nick decided to show off his unique skill on live TV.
During his first-ever visit to the UK, Nick appeared on the popular morning show This Morning with hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. To everyone’s shock (and delight), Nick wrapped his tongue in cling film and painted a live portrait of the giggling hosts right there on the show.
“I feel like I shouldn’t be watching you do this it feels very personal,” Holly joked as Nick expertly wielded his tongue like a brush. The hosts weren’t the only ones impressed; viewers at home were left equally stunned by the sheer audacity and talent on display.
Nick’s tongue isn’t just long it’s epically long. Guinness even notes that he can lick his own elbow, a feat most humans can only dream of achieving. But Nick’s unique ability goes beyond the record books. On the show, he joked about working for the American government, hinting, “I may or may not be the result of a government experiment like The Hulk; if I’m not careful, I may turn green.”
Nick first realized his tongue was unusually long when he was a child, cheekily sticking it out at friends and family. While it’s certainly a conversation starter, he admits that the constant requests for tongue demonstrations can get a little… uncomfortable.
Still, turning his extraordinary tongue into a creative tool seems like a perfect way to embrace what makes him unique and to leave everyone watching completely amazed.
